SCATS distributors are trusted partners authorised to deliver SCATS solutions to customers, providing local sales, deployment, and ongoing support services. They act as the primary point of contact for SCATS customers within their regions.

SCATS is an adaptive traffic management software developed and owned by Transport for NSW (TfNSW). TRAFF is a traffic signal controller firmware, also owned by TfNSW, that manages traffic signal operations, including signal phases, safety functions, and application‑layer communications with SCATS. TRAFF responds to inputs from field detectors and strategic control decisions generated by SCATS to operate traffic signals in real time.

Under a TRAFF licence arrangement, SCATS grants approved licensees the right to install and use TRAFF within traffic signal controllers for the purposes of development and commercial deployment. This enables partners to design, manufacture, and commercialise traffic signal controllers that are compatible with SCATS and compliant with TfNSW requirements.
