What is SCATS Console

SCATS Console is a new modular central hub designed to progressively bring essential SCATS capabilities together into a single, intuitive interface.
It establishes a unified interaction layer where SCATS information and tools are accessed and experienced over time, making it faster to understand what is happening across the network and easier to respond when conditions change.

SCATS Console is designed to evolve, supporting new capabilities as traffic management needs, data availability, and operational expectations continue to grow.

Why SCATS Console

Traffic management today demands speed, clarity, and confidence.
Yet situational awareness is often slowed by:

  • Fragmented workflows across multiple tools
  • Limited network-wide visibility when time is critical
  • Information that is difficult to interpret at a glance
  • Long ramp-up times for new team members

SCATS Console is designed to reduce this friction by presenting live operational information in a clear, map-based environment that supports faster decision-making and easier daily operations.

Designed for now and what’s next

SCATS Console marks the beginning of a shift toward progressively unifying SCATS functionality.

Capabilities will be introduced over time, allowing organisations to adopt at a pace that aligns with their operational readiness, training needs, and priorities.

The platform is:

  • Modular by design
  • Built on a modern, scalable architecture
  • Integrated with SCATS Core and existing tools
  • Designed to support future enhancements as the platform evolves

Deployed within your own cloud environment, giving full control over security, data, and access while supporting real-time operational needs.

Control Centre

Situational awareness made simple

Control Centre is the first capability delivered through SCATS Console.

It provides real-time, map-based visibility of the SCATS network, helping operators quickly understand conditions, identify issues, and respond to incidents with confidence.

By bringing live operational data into one clear view, Control Centre significantly reduces the time and cognitive effort required to understand what is happening across the network.

What Control Centre delivers

  • Real-time, network-wide visibility
See the live state of the SCATS network at a glance using intuitive, map-based views.
  • Situational awareness at speed
Quickly identify congestion, incidents, and abnormal conditions as they emerge.
  • From network to site in one click
Seamlessly move from high-level visibility to detailed site-level information via integrated access to SCATS Access.
  • Digital intersection models
View spatial, digital representations of intersections using integrated Cornerstone views.
  • Clear subsystem visualisation
Understand how subsystems coordinate across the network to support optimisation and response.

Designed for everyday operations

Control Centre supports:

  • Faster identification of major incidents
  • Easier monitoring of multiple sites
  • Reduced training time for new team members
  • More efficient day-to-day operational awareness

Customisable views allow operators to tailor what they see, ensuring the right information is visible at the right time.

Getting started

Control Centre integrates with existing SCATS tools, including SCATS Access and Cornerstone, supporting adoption without disruption.

To support onboarding, a dedicated Control Centre SCATSlearn module is available as a self-paced e-learning course.

Availability

SCATS Console, including Control Centre, is available now.

Organisations can approach adoption in a way that aligns with their operational needs, priorities, and readiness.
